Off the Record HQ is a project of CatchPoint Partners LLC. We talk with freelance stenographers and voice writers to understand the work that happens off the record, so we can build help around it. Here's what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
What we collect
- When you book a call: your name, email, phone number if you choose a phone call, the time you pick, and your answers to four questions: your state, whether you're a stenographer or voice writer, how long you've freelanced, and how many agencies you work with.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- During a call: what you tell us, in our own notes.
- When you visit the site: anonymous visit counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites.
How we use it
- To schedule your call and follow up about it.
- To understand where freelancers' time goes and design better ways to handle it.
- To let you know when we have something you asked to hear about. You can tell us to stop at any time.
What we will never do
- Sell what you share, or rent it, or trade it.
- Share what you tell us with any court reporting agency, law firm or client of CatchPoint Partners LLC.
- Repeat anything you said in a way that identifies you. When we talk about what we're hearing, it's in patterns across many conversations, with no names, agencies or details that point back to you.
Who else handles it
A few services run the site and the calls. Each sees only what it needs to do its job:
- Calendly takes your booking and sends the confirmation.
- Google Workspace holds our email, calendar and video calls.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and counts visits.
Keeping it and deleting it
We keep what you share for as long as it helps us build something useful for freelancers. Email hello@offtherecordhq.com any time to see what we have from you or to have it deleted. We'll confirm when it's done.
